Bomber Families,
We’re watching forecasts closely and will be in touch if necessary. We shared this back in December, but here’s a little reminder about our inclement weather procedures:
• We will do our best to make cancellation/delay decisions the night before, but as you know, sometimes that is not possible.
• If we have to cancel in the morning, we will do our very best to have that announcement to you all before our first bus is scheduled to take off around 5 a.m.
• If we need to run snow routes for our buses, a copy of those routes can be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1fRlENdg-GdHjW5P6520tVWk8hoLnazsr
• We will use our district’s alert system to make these announcements, so please make sure your child’s school has the correct phone numbers and email addresses on file. If you get our weekly update videos, we already have your correct information. We also update the local media of any closings, cancellations, delays, or early releases.
• If you do not hear from us – through our alert system or through local news outlets – that means we ARE having school.
• If we release school early due to inclement weather, we will send your child home in normal fashion. If you have alternate plans for your young children on early release days, please make sure their teachers are aware.
• If we release early, our Flight Crew program will not be open, so please make your child’s teacher aware of how they will be getting home.
Our calendar this year has five built-in snow days. There are no digital learning days, but if we miss five days or less this year, we will not have to make up any days. If we miss more than five days, we will use our emergency use days (in order) as they are listed on our district calendar, which is also available on our website.

Mrs. Camp's FCSI students from Pinkston Middle School were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Kindergarten and Little Bombers today. They were able to help set up the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast, read to them, play educational games, and just have fun with them. What a great day!

Bomber Update: We've had lots of questions about how our community partners can help students this time of year. Here are a couple ways! https://youtu.be/qm8W4Bf9MMM
A huge thank you to one of our community partners: Basscat Boats. Their employees donated 150 Thanksgiving meal bags to Mountain Home Public Schools. Heather Curtis from Basscat is pictured here with some of our school counselors and Serenity's outreach case manager.

GATE Family Trivia Night was a tremendous success, and we look forward to hosting again!
We had 140 people who stayed and participated in trivia and more who were there before trivia started to look at student projects!

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission held its inaugural Generation Conservation summit on Nov. 5-6, 2025. Student groups from around the state faced off in conservation-related competitions for bragging rights, prizes and possible additional funding for their school. Two Mountain Home students shined in their respective competitions:
- Placing 1st in the Private Lands Habitat - Plant ID Competition was 7th grader, Bradley Tilley.
- Placing 1st in Recreational Shooting - 3D Archery Challenge was 8th grader, Case Hardin.

Mrs. Camp's enrichment WIN group decided to spread a little gratitude this week by creating this bulletin board at Pinkston Middle School! Great job, kids! 🥰 Happy Fall, y'all!
