Bridges of Mountain Home recently received two grants from the Twin Lakes Community Foundation. One grant -- for $2,000 -- is for a clothing closet at the Nelson-Wilks-Herron campus, and the other is for $500 to purchase student snacks for each counseling office. We're grateful!

KTLO graciously allowed EAST students Marlee, Maggie, and Brantley to record a radio commercial advertising Pinkston Showcase that will take place on May 4th from 5:30-7:00 pm. Pinkston Showcase is an event that raises funds that go 100% directly to students. These funds help support events such as American Graffiti Day, Chocolate Day, and other rewards/incentives for the students! Along with being a fundraiser, students have the opportunity to show off their hard work from their classes at the event!

MHPS has delayed the following buses this morning until the weather passes: 39, 36, 51, 59, 25, 60, 27, 62, 28, and 45 . We will notify families when those buses begin running routes this morning.

We expect severe weather at drop off time this morning. School personnel will work diligently to get students out of vehicles/buses and into buildings, but we encourage parents to use their own judgment as to delays. Tardies this morning will be excused.

Reading is great for stress relief!

In a 2009 study from the consultancy Mindlab International at the University of Sussex, testing found that reading reduced stress levels by 68 percent, making it a more effective means of relaxation than taking a walk, drinking a cup of tea, or playing video games.
