During the fall, our social studies students entered a local essay contest through the Fleet Reserve Association out of Gassville. The essay topic was "Why I Am Proud to be an American." The contest was open for all students, grades 7-12. Each of the 7th grade SS teachers at Pinkston narrowed down their top 5 from each class. We had two 7th graders who won the essay contest!!

Codify This! Coding competition in Melbourne. Hunter R., Wave S., and Kohlden B. won second place. Christi Ann S., Brooklyn O., and Shelby M. won 3rd place. Seventh graders Samuel S., Trinity F., and Carson B. won first place in their competition.
Pinkston students made learning moments sweeter as they celebrated chocolate day! Chocolate was able to be incorporated into lessons throughout the school.
The staff sweeties at Pinkston had some delicious sweets during professional development on Monday. We LOVE our educators!
We will be doing Candy Grams next week. Our students will be allowed to send a lollipop to their friends, teachers, or even themselves.
