The middle school office is opened on all regular school days from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pupils who have business in the office should be courteous and quiet, and leave quickly when their business is completed. When parents come into the school building, they should report to their childrens' respective office. Only doors 1, 3, and 22 will remain unlocked during the day for visitor use.
Students are not permitted to bring visitors to school. Parents are asked to make an appointment before visiting teachers, grade-level teams, administrators, or their childrens' classes. ALL VISITORS to the campus MUST obtain a visitor's pass from the office. No students, other than Pinkston students, will be allowed on campus at any time, unless granted permission by the building principal, assistant principal, or authorized personnel.
MESSAGES, DELIVERIES, AND EARLY DEPARTURES
Due to the large number of messages delivered at the end of the school day, we advise parents to call before 2:00 p.m. in order to insure the delivery of their message. Any messages taken after 2:00 p.m. cannot be guaranteed. Only messages from parents, or those listed on the Emergency Form will be accepted. No student will be called out of class for a phone call or message unless it is an extreme emergency. In order to minimize classroom disruptions, deliveries of flowers, balloons, etc., will be made after 2:00 p.m. Students may pick up deliveries in the office after school has been dismissed.
To help minimize the disruption of learning time, parents are encouraged to make medical and other appointments for after-school hours, whenever possible. When students must leave school during the day, a parent/guardian or other authorized adult must sign them out in the office. When students arrive on campus after school has begun or upon returning from an appointment, they are to report to the office with their doctor's excuse and sign in.
